Nubian Link (est.1995) is an independent community organisation based in Nottingham that promotes educational achievement and cultural development amongst people of Afrikan descent.

Kulture College is back again for 2009 and we promise it to be even more inspiring and fun! 

Taking place this year from July 27th- August 2nd at the ACNA centre, Nottingham. Kulture College is designed for young people aged 12-15 from Afrikan, African Caribbean and dual heritage backgrounds.

hese are the first few words of the ‘Afrikan Pledge’; but really what does this mean in reality? As someone who describes his ‘ethnic origin’ as Afrikan, and as Baba Marcus Garvey would have said, “an Afrikan abroad”, increasingly I wonder how much tenure this term has with the majority of Afrikans abroad and particularly here in the UK, where tags such as Black, African-Caribbean, Black-British, and even ‘Afropean’ appear to be more comfortable garments.
